Wedding Challenge! Go!

Haven't updated in a while, but I thought I'd mention that Daniel and I are having a challenge to see who can lose the most body fat (% based).  Deadline is his birthday.  My trainer measured me today but I haven't gotten the results back yet.  It will be interesting to see if I managed to maintain or lose anything this holiday season.

Wedding Makeover

According to my wedding checklist (we're now 570 days away!) I should be taking better care of myself.  I interpret that to mean, eat better and work out!  I've been trying (half-heartedly) but have been getting better.  My engagement band is really loose now.  Time to get me another one, Daniel!  Haha.  Joking.  maybe

Another thing I've been trying to do is grow out my hair.
Here's me in October 2009:
And here's my hair circa August 2010:
My goal is to grow my hair at least another 5-6 inches.  Any tips?  I've just been washing with a non-sulfide shampoo, using leave-in conditioner, deep conditioning once a week, and trimming every 8 weeks or so.  I've heard that pre-natal vitamins can also do wonders for hair growth.

Flowers

The MOB (mother of the bride), bridesmaid Y, and Daniel all chose the same invites, table numbers, and escort cards... but... differed on the flowers.  I found out D does not like the foofy poofball look, which nixes my "CARNATIONS EVERYTHING" idea.  Here are some pictures of what I'm thinking of now:
Thoughts?  Comments?  Other suggestions?  I'm looking for hardy flowers because I'm planning on doing the centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages myself.

Democracy?

Daniel's ideal theme for the wedding would be "zen serene."  Don't worry, he didn't make it up and I'm not his beard, he chose it off a list in my wedding planner.  This has me re-thinking the major design elements (i.e., invites, escort cards, table numbers, centerpieces).  Would anyone care to help by voting on a few choices?  Just put the number you like better in the comments section.

Invites and Save the Dates DONE

I realize that my date is one year and 11 months away... but I found this free wedding set from curlygomes.etsy.com and wanted to see how it would look in teal and orange (original was hot pink).  I really like the results.  According to online pricing with Kinko's, these would cost $0.37 a card (on white executive cardstock).  Three pieces including the Save the Dates (not pictured) with tax would come out to about $1.16 each person.  With postage... $2.04 an invite.  Sweet.

Photographer? Videographer?

This weekend I watched a demo reel from a wedding videographer.  It was pretty hilarious, especially the "preparation" scenes that consisted of the groom and groomsmen drinking Heinekens and playing poker.  I don't think I'd want to pay to document the amount of alcohol my future husband had to consume before he could walk down the aisle.  Anyways, we haven't chosen an island or location yet, but I'm looking at http://www.garrettnosephoto.com/ or http://perfektphoto.com/weddings.html.  Opinions?  I still don't have any videographer options.  The weird wedding prep scenes (don't ask about the dress fetish shots) pretty much ruled out the creator of the demo reel.
